The African Diaspora Foundation presents an...International Peace Concert Tourfeaturing ... Everette Harpe and Friends 2004 event (planning stage) You are invited to join us at a fund raising concert at the UCLA Royce Hall at 7:30 PM with the Jazz Classics, featuring Everett Harp, Patrice Rushen, Ndugu Chancler and more friends. The African Diaspora Foundation (ADF), the lead organization in association with staff and faculty at UCLA and members of the greater Los Angeles community are proposing the development of a peace institute at UCLA that will house an international peace education program, peace library & distance learning unit, and an African peace curriculum clearing house to assist people and institutions in constructing sustainable initiatives for peace, nonviolence and reconciliation in Africa and throughout the world community. We believe that by pulling new resources and talent together we can eradicate
many problems in the world today. Our ‘peace concert’ is
a step toward meeting the goal of world peace and justice for all. Concert
proceeds will be used to further the development of the peace institute,
library & distance-learning unit, and curriculum-clearing house.
